Passenger Boarding Bridges at Airports

JBT AeroTech (JBT) has received a $20.4m contract from joint venture company BARC for the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) re-gating project.

Under the contract, JBT will supply 39 new Jetway passenger boarding bridges, 21 Jetpower ground power units and 18 JetAire air handling units for Terminals A and C.

The Jetway systems-integrated gate equipment is an initiative undertaken as part of the airport's $1.74bn, seven-year terminal development programme.

JBT AeroTech vice president and division manager John Lee said: "We are pleased to continue expanding our relationship with the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport."

"We have enjoyed a long-term relationship with the airport and look forward to supplying these bridges to enhance gate operations and traveller experience at DFW Airport," said Lee.

The company is expected to complete its portion of the project by 2011.

The BARC joint venture comprised of Balfour Beatty, Azteca Enterprises, HJ Russell & Company and CARCON Industries.
