Carbon Filters for Airport Terminal Buildings
AAC Eurovent manufacture and supply a range of specialist dry chemical scrubbing equipment and high performance carbon filters for the control of odour and fume at airport terminal buildings.
Air quality issues at airport terminal buildings are mainly due to kerosene based fumes and odour entering the terminal building through the air intake system and air handling units. This problem can be addressed by fitting dry chemical scrubbing equipment in the form of high performance carbon filters into the airport terminal building Air Handling Unit (AHU) or air intake system. In addition to its role in odour control, the carbon filter also acts as a scrubbing agent in the removal of atmospheric pollutants including VOCs and Ozone.
AAC PR™ Range of Carbon Filters
The AAC PR™ standard A range of carbon filters are highly effective in the removal of aviation fumes. Installed at a number of prestigious UK and International airport terminal buildings, these high quality carbon filters are manufactured from high quality virgin injection moulded plastic, offer long life and excellent performance.
The PR™ range of carbon filter units also have the considerable benefit of a re-usable filter tray and sealing strip, which enables the granular or pelletized carbon media to be easily poured out and then re-charged. To complement this range of carbon filters, we also offer an extensive range of activated carbon, and a fast turnaround media re-supply service. For odour control at Airport Installations, we recommend the AAC NFX media grade activated carbon, which has been designed to give the outstanding physical adsorption capability that is a pre-requisite for the effective removal of the specific type of volatile organic compound (VOCs) derived from aviation fuel.

AAC Swiftpack Carbon Filter Housing
We offer the AAC Swiftpack® range of carbon filter housing, which is suitable for installation into the ductwork systems at airport terminal buildings. This is the ideal choice for buildings where there is no air handling unit, or simply no space within an air handling unit to fit carbon filters.
The AAC Swiftpack® range of carbon filter housing is compact, extremely robust, and is available in modular configurations for larger units with volume flow rates of between 0.1m3/s and to 6m3/s.
These units can be fitted with the AAC Colourcell Media Filter System®, which uses state-of-the-art patented technology to provide a visual indication as to the condition of the installed activated carbon media.
This is an important additional benefit to the end user in terms of cost and maintenance.

The AAC Swiftkit range of Carbon Filter
The AAC Swiftkit® range of Carbon Filter housing is the ideal choice, where there is a requirement to fit carbon filters into air handling units, or where the plant room is very cramped.
These compact units are suitable for volume flow rates of between 0.1m3/s up to 20m3/s. These units can also be fitted with the AAC Colourcell Media Filter System®, to provide a crucial visual indication as to the condition of installed activated carbon media.

AAC Skeleton-Frame Air Handling Unit Filter System
The AAC Skeleton-Frame™ is a low cost, corrosion resistant unit, designed to simply slide into the air handling unit, and is suitable for Air Handling Units with volume flow rates of between 0.1m3/s and 12m3/s.
Again, these units can be fitted with AAC Colourcell Media Filter System® to provide the end user with an important indication of the installed activated carbon media.
