AC-B (Air Traffic Control & Business Systems GmbH) is a company which very successfully offers highly specialised IT services in the area of air traffic communication and test automation. Since many years AC-B has been awarded by Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS, German Air Navigation Service Provider) with the support and maintenance of the German national air traffic communication network, the “Value Added Network” VAN.
Based on its knowledge of many years in maintaining high reliable IT systems AC-B provides a test tool, which reduces the effort for regression tests up to 75%.

Reduce effort for regression testing up to 75%
The "Testtool and Testservices" of AC-B's are based on the expert knowledge in maintaining the German national communication network of DFS. Regression testing is absolutely essential in the maintenance period of high-reliable systems. The “Test & Evaluation Application” TEVA is a tool framework adaptable to various systems to be tested. Based on TEVA test automation tools are implemented by AC-B.
AC-B’s AMHS Testsuite was the first tool supporting the automation of the AMHS Conformance Tests, which are specified in the EUR AMHS Manual. AC-B offers services concerning the execution of the AMHS Conformance Test. DFS, the German Air Navigation Service Provider, purchased our tool in 2005 for testing new versions of the its international communication center ANDRA.

The first and only book about AMHS
The publication “Introduction to AMHS” with about 700 pages includes detailed information of the ICAO ATS Message Handling System (AMHS). It supports engineers which are looking for a qualified technical and operational understanding of AMHS communication and provides comprehensive and didactically structured information in terms of communication services and functions. Concerning the ICAO specification work, current developments are included, in particular the migration to the Internet Protocol Suite (IPS). Using our additional Update Service, our customers are enabled to keep their AMHS knowledge up-to-date with the latest development in AMHS standardisation.
AMHS Seminar
AMHS training for technical and operational staff
A sufficient understanding of the AMHS requires in-depth study of the AMHS technical specifications (ICAO Doc 9705 and Doc 9880) as well as the underlying quite voluminous ISO/IEC MHS specifications. In consideration of this situation, AMHS implementation groups identified the urgent need of appropriate training for technical and operational staff. The AMHS Seminar offered by AC-B provides a comprehensive technical survey of the AMHS. The course materials have been developed from and with an AMHS perspective, taking the underlying ISO/IEC MHS standard series into consideration. Also the most recent updates of the AMHS technical specifications and the provisions of the EUR AMHS manual are taken into account.
Our course instructors worked as technical advisors in the ATN Panel for the standardization of the AMHS, were engaged in European ATN studies and initial ATN/AMHS implementation projects and made essential contributions to the specification of AMHS gateways. Professional expertise is guaranteed. The Seminar is also suitable for refreshing and expanding knowledge gained from introductory seminars.
