We at ACO Electronics are specialists in the design and manufacture of equipment for the detection of counterfeit and forged documents of all types, including travel documents, ID cards, currency, personal identification and legal documents. Ultraviolet Document Viewers
ACO’s comprehensive range of Ultraviolet Document Viewers offer a solution to users requiring a quick and accurate answer to front line document checking problems. Our range of UV Document Viewers has been designed for the rapid examination passports and other travel documents at border control points and we offer a solution for most applications.
All our UV Document Viewers allow for rapid examination by offering easy access, with a good working height and an open rear section. Good light exclusion also permits our range to be used in areas of high ambient lighting often found in modern airports.
Illustrated is the UV-1140CD which has been designed to be fitted under a shelf when space is limited at immigration control desks. The UV-1140CD is currently fitted in most immigration control points within the U.K.
Checkpoint-D Forgery Detection System
The Checkpoint-D Forgery Detection System offers additional features for a more in depth examination of suspect documents; easy to use and very compact the Checkpoint-D has been installed in many immigration control booths worldwide. Containing all the necessary light sources to check passport security safeguards or to highlight fraudulent alterations, the Checkpoint-D also comes with both an integral and a handheld magnifier for close up examination.
The Checkpoint-D is a robust and cost effective document examination system, not only for immigration controls but also it is currently used in banks for checking identity documents and at custom posts for authenticating bills of lading and carnets.
FD-02 Forgery Detection Kit
The FD-02 Forgery Detection Kit is a handy kit for the detection of many types of fraudulent documents in front line areas such as at airports, borders, on board ships or for mobile patrols. Particularly suited for passport and identity card control, the FD-02 will be useful for airline security personnel and immigration officers who need to check for forged travel documents at departure gates or at airline steps where mains power is not available.
Resulting from the first-hand experience of immigration officers and border guards over many years, the FD-02 contains all the necessary tools for the detection of forgeries, alterations, erasures and for the checking of security safeguards.
All tools are housed in a soft nylon carry bag, with deep foam cut-outs to protect against damage. The FD-02 is available for immediate use with all batteries fitted and with spare sets of bulbs and batteries. The comprehensive user manual enables the user to become rapidly familiar with the contents of the FD-02 Kit and also provides guidance on how to carry out simple passport checks.
mini-QDX Portable Infrared Document Examination
The mini-QDX Portable Infrared Document Examination System is an extremely compact instrument for the infrared inspection of security documents in areas where space is limited, such as at immigration control desks or in vehicles. With six light sources, colour camera and monitor and a motorised zoom lens, the mini-QDX has all the features of larger systems, but in a very compact package and at a fraction of the cost. For countries with illegal immigration problems, the mini-QDX will prove an invaluable tool in detecting falsified and counterfeit travel documents at border crossings or in mobile operations.
The standard mini-QDX is supplied with a universal external power supply, but it may be powered from any external 12 volt dc source, such as a vehicle battery. Where portability is required the mini-QDX can be supplied with a robust carrying case.
