BAA Aviation Photo Library / First Stop for Airport and Aviation Imagery
The BAA Aviation Photo Library is a rights-managed image library specializing in airport and aviation images. We are a business-to-business company supplying images for commercial use. The content covers all aspects of airport life including BAA’s airports; Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports as well as generic airport and aircraft images. With exclusive access to BAA’s airports and an emphasis on creative photography we are able to offer a unique collection of airport imagery.
History
In 2000 BAA began development on the BAA Aviation Photo Library, a rights-managed photo library, that would offer external companies the opportunity to purchase the rights to use BAA’s imagery within publications or presentations.BAA chose In-Press Photography Ltd to develop, program and manage the on-line library. The task of collating, editing and cataloguing the archive began.
The Library was launched in 2001 and has since expanded to encompass all aspects of airport life providing an unrivalled resource for this specialist area of imagery.
Airport and Aviation images
The library includes images of generic airport and aviation life, including: aircraft, runways, cargo aerials, airport construction and transport. The collection also covers images on topics such as biometrics, recycling and the environment that can be used in more generic sense to illustrate non-airport related issues.
With our exclusive access to BAA’s UK airports we are also able to offer a unique view of airport operations at BAA’s airports:

Heathrow's Terminal 5 has pushed the boundaries of traditional construction, harnessing innovation and best practice. The photo library has covered the Terminal 5 project from it’s inception and photographed every aspect of the construction through to the completed structure.
How does the BAA Aviation Photo Library work?
The photo library works on a rights-management basis. A company will pay a usage fee for one-off use of an image, (although there are multi-use options available, feel free to contact us for further details).

The website offers various search options to fine tune your search. There are also quick links, such as ‘Featured Galleries’ these highlight some of the most popular images for a chosen subject.Once you have made your image selection, add the images to the enquiry basket and submit for a no-obligation quote. The sales team then provide a usage quote by email and if this is agreeable the imagery is delivered electronically with a licence agreement.
