The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation

CANSO – the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation – is the global voice of the companies that provide air traffic control, and represents the interests of Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) worldwide.

CANSO Members are responsible for supporting over 85% of world air traffic, and through our Workgroups, members share information and develop new policies, with the ultimate aim of improving air navigation services in the air and on the ground.

CANSO has an extensive network of Associate Members drawn from across the aviation industry, and we represent our members’ views in major regulatory and industry forums, including at ICAO, where we have official Observer status.

CANSO Welcomes Four New Members - 24/02/2009

CANSO, the Global Voice of ATM, has announced that four new members have joined in the past month. PIA JSC Kosova has become the latest ANSP to join as a full member, under the principle that full CANSO membership is open to all organisations established to provide air navigation services. Avitech AG, Metron Aviation and WIDE have joined as Associate members.

Avitech AG is an international systems and service provider company for civil and military Air Navigation Services Providers, Aviation Authorities, and Airlines. It develops and markets its own software products with 70 plus engineering workforce from four locations in Germany and Slovakia for more then 20 civil and military customers in 20 countries on 4 continents.

Metron Aviation fuses the principles of science and mathematics with unparalleled domain knowledge to provide dynamic and innovative solutions to airspace constraints in the advancement of Traffic Flow Management concepts. Metron Aviation’s key focus areas include system operations, software development, analysis, and research and development into system solutions for Air Traffic Management and the Aviation Community.

WIDE, an acronym of Worldwide Innovative Display Engineering, is a leading innovator and manufacturer of high-performance flat-screen displays for professional markets, including medical imaging, traffic management and military applications. WIDE has earned a place as one of the leaders in the medical imaging market due to its innovation, performance and outstanding customer support. The company more recently introduced new products for air-traffic and vessel-traffic control applications and rugged displays for military operations.
