AMHS (Aeronautical Message Handling System)

COMSOFT's Aeronautical Message Handling System AIDA-NG represents a highly versatile communication gateway integrating CIDIN/AFTN as well as latest AMHS technology on one single platform.

Besides AIDA-NG’s capability to cope with all international aeronautical interoperability standards (AMHS, AFTN, CIDIN, SITA) one of AIDA-NG's strong points is its comfortable and efficient support of sophisticated operational procedures. The fact that AIDA-NG represents at least one communication partner in over 90 % of the currently operational international AMHS connections worldwide speaks for itself.

AIDA-FPL

The impending change of formats in flight plans has forced organisations worldwide to take action. COMSOFT has developed the automated flight plan converter AIDA-FPL to be used as universal transforming gateway converting flight plans of the present into the new format and vice versa.

The system supports air navigation service providers in a smooth transition while adopting the new flight plan format as mandated by ICAO and meanwhile guarantees permanent interoperability between connected ATC systems.  AIDA-FPL is based on the market-leading AIDA-NG software and thus can turn the descent of COMSOFT’s flagship to advantage while sharing equal stability and availability properties.

AIM

COMSOFT’s unique approach in providing an Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) solution assembles the very best of the CADAS product family. The core of this progressive AIM solution is the cutting-edge CADAS-AIMDB. CADAS-AIMDB processes all AIM data in the new developed AIXM 5 format. AIXM is designed to enable the management and distribution of Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) data in digital format.

This sophisticated AIM solution allows the fusion of dynamic (e.g. NOTAM) and static aeronautical data (e.g. eAIP), preparing its users for the coming AIM era without the need of changing their established and proven workflows.

The CADAS product family is an integrated part of the overall AIM solution.

ADS-B and Multilateration System

With its ultra-compact design a single Quadrant sensor installed at the top of a mountain provides ADS-B service exceeding 250 nautical miles range. As part of a cluster the Quadrant sensor delivers highly accurate information to enable a Quadrant Multilateration Controller to determine positions for all aircraft, not having ADS-B capability.

By adding the innovative sectorised Quadrant interrogation unit with eight directional antennas the whole system becomes capable of active Wide Area Multilateration and allows for selective, target-oriented information requests.

Surveillance Communication

COMSOFT’s Surveillance Communication solutions cover products and projects to support the collection, distribution, filtering and conversion of radar data and other surveillance-related ATM information. The COMSOFT product RMCDE (Radar Message Conversion and Distribution Equipment) is operational in more than 30 air traffic control centres worldwide. It is also used for the build-up of multinational surveillance networks, like the pan-European RADNET (Radar Data Distribution Network), allowing to access radar sites of whatever type, format or protocol from whatever location.

ATC Automation

COMSOFT offers an advanced and powerful solution for ATC automation: PRISMA. With its graphical user interface the strongest emphasis was put on the support of the ATCO’s work. PRISMA’s central parts being the FDPS and SDPS can - due to the system’s modular structure - easily be supplemented by a multitude of highly developed components such as safety net functions, traffic statistics and billing information, traffic forecast and recording and replay.

PRISMA is suitable for tower, approach and en-route control and fully complies with the latest requirements on flight plan changes as stipulated by ICAO.

ARTAS Tracker

The ARTAS tracker is an advanced surveillance data processing system calculating air situation information based on sensor input data such as PSR, SSR, CMB, Mode S, ADS-B, ADS-C and WAM.

While ARTAS has been developed and refined on behalf on EUROCONTROL, COMSOFT has been providing the complementing CAMOS service since 2001 which includes system integration, training and tracker fine tuning.

RAPS-3 / MILRAPS

The RAPS product is a powerful and versatile toolset for testing, analysis, validation as well as generation of surveillance data. It is the world's first officially qualified ASTERIX reference tool utilised around the globe. The system enables recording, replay and multichannel communication of a wide range of formats and protocols. It provides highly sophisticated and flexible functions for filtering, format-sensitive evaluation, visualisation, transformation of data and the generation of test data. A fully graphical user interface facilitates its use.

With the addition of MILRAPS in 2011 the field of application for this well-accepted analysis tool has even widened addressing our military customer’s needs. This unique derivate designed and developed for the requirements of the armed forces is available on two platforms – compact or the all new 3XD with three unfolding LCD displays.
