COMSOFT GmbH - ARTAS Linux G5 Delivered to Skyguide and Croatia Control - 04/08/2009
Switzerland and Croatia have received new ARTAS systems from ATC expert and EUROCONTROL's industry partner COMSOFT.Geneva/Switzerland, Zagreb/Croatia, August 2009 – The two European Air Navigation Service Providers skyguide and Croatia Control Ltd. had ordered several new ARTAS systems based on the latest baseline Linux G5. In July the new redundant trackers have successfully been delivered to Geneva, Wangen and Zagreb.
Both administrations have been ARTAS users and COMSOFT customers for numerous years and now opted for the latest hardware development. Since project start COMSOFT has revealed its professionalism by completing the set-up and installation in an expeditious and experienced manner. Just recently the German system supplier has implemented the third ARTAS system for NAV Portugal in Lisbon.
ARTAS was developed as an industry project on behalf of EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for Safety of Air Navigation. Today the system is operational in more than 20 ATC centres throughout Europe with the potential of installations outside Europe to follow. COMSOFT, the EUROCONTROL industry partner for ARTAS and the related CAMOS, is constantly improving the product and renders high quality services to the respective administrations.
By September the release of the software version V8, supporting ADS-C and WAM services, will be available to the user community.
