COMSOFT: ARTAS Goes to ItalyThe Italian Air Navigation Service Provider ENAV has decided to join the ever growing circle of ARTAS users to be well prepared for future European programmes.
For their ATC centres in Roma, Milan, Padova and Brindisi the Italian air navigation service provider ENAV has ordered a total of eight ARTAS systems. German surveillance expert COMSOFT via their Italian partner ARCTRADE was awarded the contract stipulating the hardware, software, installation and training conditions.
By enhancing their ATC environment with the sophisticated ARTAS system based on the latest software version V8 in tandem with the latest hardware platform the airspace over Italy and its air traffic controllers will soon experience the benefits of ARTAS’ maturity. This maturity manifests itself in terms of tracking accuracy, reliability as well as processing capacity for classical radars, Mode S and ADS-B topped with the newly implemented WAM and ADS-C features.
ARTAS is the EUROCONTROL tracker operational in around thirty ATC centres in Europe and beyond. Their industry partner COMSOFT has performed the product-related CAMOS service (COMSOFT ARTAS Maintenance Operational Service) on their behalf since 2001. This partnership entitles the German supplier to render services for corrective maintenance (trouble reports), software enhancements (change proposals) and all kinds of site support required by the ARTAS users. Additionally, COMSOFT provides ARTAS turnkey solutions including all requested services for installation, tuning, testing and training, carried out by their experienced ARTAS team.
