Environmental Commitment

From design to production, we continually strive to reduce the energy and resource demands of our manufacturing process. We utilize thousands of tons of recycled material each year to help conserve our planet's natural resources. Our commitment to energy efficiency has resulted in a huge long-term investment in technology and equipment, reducing our net impact on energy resources.


SOLID STEEL
Approximately 98% of the raw material used in steel bar production is either post-consumer or
post-industrial recycled scrap steel.

TUBULAR STEEL
63.6% (by cost) of the raw material used to manufacture this material is either post-consumer or post-industrial recycled scrap steel.

RECYCLED PLASTIC
More than 90% of the TOTAL raw material used in recycled plastic production is either post-industrial or post-consumer recycled plastic.

HARDWOOD
100% of all our hardwood is sourced from suppliers who are FSC certified. A copy of certificate is available upon request.

 

Powder Coating

Our unique and innovative powder coating system provides the most durable finish in the industry achieving an average coating of 200-250 microns (8-10 mils) which is 3-4 times the standard.
 
Our powder coating is applied on in-house designed systems which use both manual and precisely guided automated application equipment to coat the fully pre-heated products.

The pre-heating ensures dramatically increased flow characteristics for the coating and a much thicker coating film resulting in dramatically enhanced product life and appearance. This provides a highly durable and long lasting surface.

This surface will not break down or chip, and therefore does not require re-application.
 
The life span of this coating is indefinite and also negates the requirement for products to be galvanised unless installations are exposed to highly corrosive environments (for example saltwater or sand).

This is especially important for aesthetic reasons as applying powder coating over galvanised surfaces, special surface preparations must be made and resulting finished surfaces may be less smooth than standard finishes.

Self Lubricating Side Door Hinges for litter bins
Our side door hinges are composed of embedded precision stainless steel pivot pins and oil impregnated bronze brushings for reliable all weather durability year after year.
 
Levelling Feet
We include adjustable levelling feet at no additional cost to keep your littler bins level and off the ground. This prevents the bottom of each bin from scratching and allows for easier cleaning underneath the item.
 
3D CADD Technology
State of the Art 3D CADD technology is used to design products as well as some of our complex manufacturing techniques. Sophisticated digital presentations are used to model products and prevent dimensional conflicts. At the request of our customers we can provide digital product specification drawings.

Identification

We offer many ways to promote recycling advertise or identify special installations.
Custom designed decals are available for our plaques and for our top steel bands additionally recycling or custom designed decals are available for our lids.
 
We have a complete art and graphics department to help you with regard to the design and implementation of custom decals and plaques. Plaques are heavy 20-gauge galvanized steel sheets cut to the appropriate size. Plaques are then powder coated and secured to the receptacles. Premium decals produced by our art department are then affixed.
 
Our standard decal designs identify your receptacles as recycling bins with universally recognizable signage. Our standard lid decals designate the types of recyclables accepted in your recycling program. They can be used to encourage sorting of glass, aluminium, plastic and paper recyclables.
 
Custom bronze plaques for our benches provide a handsome display for messages, advertising or memorials. Engrave with your personal message on a choice of black, bronze or dark green backgrounds.
