Klaus Schäfer, Crisplant Managing Director, comments; “Crisplant has consistently provided the airport industry with major innovations in baggage-handling technology: Recently we have introduced the industry’s most energy-efficient sorter, the LS-4000; as well as RampMate, the first system to eliminate manual handling of baggage between the terminal and the aircraft ramp; and the first fully-automated hybrid RFID tunnel with integrated barcode technology.”
Crisplant will feature a model of the RFID/barcode tunnel which has been chosen for the state-of-the-art baggage handling system at the new Doha International Airport, as well as by Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The installation at Doha is the industry’s largest ever hybrid RFID installation, helping to make Doha one of the most advanced airports in the world. The stand will also screen an extensive emulation of baggage-flow, from check-in to make-up, of a system which will be installed at another major new international airport.
The Crisplant stand, located on the Danish Pavilion will also host a panel of experts who will answer questions on these new technologies as well as on established systems such as the CrisBag® baggage transportation and storage system.
