GripTester

The GripTester is the world’s most flexible runway friction tester able to perform maintenance testing, operational testing or indeed testing of rapid exit taxiways and perimeter roads all with ease. With one GripTester all paved  surfaces can be easily assessed and the correct actions identified.

The GripTester comes with extensive data collection and analysis software called AirBase that provides an incredibly simple user interface to the machine. Data collected is available immediately the testing is completed to either view and print or indeed export to pavement management systems.

The GripTester is recognised by civil aviation authorities throughout the world including ICAO, US FAA, USAF, UK CAA and many more.

GripTester RAS

The GripTester can also be combined with the Runway Alignment System (RAS) providing operators with guidance to stay on track, run sequences and a full audit trail of the areas tested.

Using high accuracy GPS the system will link with the GripTester AirBase software to provide full visual and audible guidance. No other manufacturer in the world provides this integrated capability.

GripTester Servicing / Calibration & Support

Findlay Irvine endeavour to support every GripTester in the world either directly or through our approved GripTester partner network.

This can be done through telephone, e mail, on site or through any combination of these methods and can extend from training courses to detailed analysis of GripTester data.

micro GripTester

Findlay Irvine also provides the microGripTester complementing the GripTester with a capability for pedestrian areas on stands or through terminal buildings.

The micro GripTester has a 1:1 relationship to the GripTester and correlations with devices such as pendulum.

Testing is very simple through the touch screen user interface with data available immediately for analysis with the micro GripTester viewer programme.
