Findlay Irvine can offer a range of systems ranging from low cost, basic weather station such as Thermocheck.
Findlay Irvine collect and display the data via the Internet using our icelert.net management software. We also provide the data to Airports forecaster enabling them to provide a more accurate forecast. This system provides basic information allowing the airport decision makers to make runway treatment decisions.
More sophisticated systems would have a number of full weather stations along the runway, picking up a range of atmospheric and surface condition data. The data would be collected and displayed on a local Master Station system.
Communications between the weather stations and the Master Station is typically by radio. This has the benefit of there being no on-going operating costs other than maintenance.
