Flight Data Processing Software
Flight ATM Systems specialises in providing innovative solutions to the Air Traffic Management industry.
We provide both consultancy services on various aspects of Air Traffic Management, including requirements analysis, design and implementation as well as a range of software products dealing with Flight Data Processing.
Our company has over 100 years of combined experience in flight data processing and has provided consultancy services to many major European ANSPs.
AFTN Terminal
The AFTN Terminal application is able to process and store AFTN messages. The product provides enhanced processing of ICAO and ADEXP ATS messages typically used for exchanging flight plan data.
The application can be used as a Tower AFTN terminal or in an AIS office to support ATS message filing.
Product Features:
- Filing of AFTN messages
- Reception and management of AFTN messages
- Syntax and semantic checking of ICAO ATS messages
- Guarantees incorrect ATS messages cannot be filed onto the AFTN
- Implemented using Java
- Platform independent due to Java implementation
- Clients implemented using state of the art GUI technology
- Client GUI implemented using standard email paradigm
- Dual redundant servers for high availability
- Deployment user CD, LAN or Java Web Start tm technology
- Flexible usage based licensing fees
- Deploys over a WAN if required without the need for remote client installations
EUROCONTROL Compliant Data Driven ADEXP Message Parser
The EUROCONTROL Compliant Data Driven ADEXP Message Parser parses ADEXP messages; the parser performs the following:
- Analyzes a message for correct syntax
- Analyzes a message for correct semantics
- Extracts data for all primary and sub-fields and writes the output to an XML file
- Reports accurate and meaningful errors should a messages not conform to EUROCONTROL ADEXP standards
ICAO Field 15 Parser
The ICAO Compliant field 15 parser parses ICAO field 15; the parser performs the following:
- Analyzes field 15 for correct syntax
- Analyzes field 15 for correct semantics
- Extracts a route from field 15
- Reports accurate and meaningful errors should field 15 not conform to ICAO standards
The software provides a solution for a relatively complex problem relieving your organisation from having to spend time and money in re-inventing the wheel.
Design Paradigm
The field 15 parser has been implemented using standard industry practice compiler technology. The Backus Naur Form (BNF) has been derived from the ICAO documentation and a suitable parser implemented using the BNF language definition.
Using standard industry compiler technology based on the BNF description of field 15 results in an extremely efficient parser with a small source code foot print; this ensures the implementation is fast, reliable and easily configurable.
It was always the objective of our company to make the software hardware and OS independent which is why we chose to write the parser in Java . Using Java also ensured that XML could be used for the output data which in turn ensures ease of integration with software utilizing the parser.
The parser is data driven and can be easily modified for custom implementations.
