Flughafen Wien AG is one of the few listed airport operators in Europe. Its public shareholders, the province of Lower Austria and the city of Vienna, each hold 20% of share capital and thereby provide a stable ownership structure.A further 10% of the Company’s share capital was transferred to an employee fund in 2000, and allows the employees of Flughafen Wien AG to participate directly in the success of the Company. The remaining 50% of shares represent free float.

Vienna Airport: transavia.com introduces direct Vienna - Rotterdam connectionStarting on 21 April 2011, for the first time the Dutch airline transavia.com will offer direct flights from Vienna to Rotterdam. Four times a week, the low cost carrier will fly a Boeing 737-700 to Holland?s second largest city. The Dutch airline leaves Vienna on Tuesdays at 2.50 p.m. On Thursdays and Sundays the plane leaves the Austrian capital for Rotterdam at 9 p.m. On Fridays take-off from Vienna is at 1.55 p.m. The return flight from Rotterdam to Vienna takes off at 12.20 p.m. on Tuesdays, at 6.30 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays and at 11.25 a.m. on Fridays. The flying time is just under two hours.
