Glidepath designs and manufactures a complete range of baggage handling and sorting systems for airports of every size, from small regional centres to large international hubs.

To meet airport security requirements for baggage content safety assurance involving detection for explosives and other threats, Glidepath integrates 100% hold baggage screening. All bags pass through Level One X-ray machines which are integrated into the conveyor system. Bag images which fail the Level One screening are identified to a Level Two operator for further inspection. If a bag remains suspect it is redirected through the conveyor system to a Level Three explosive detection device (EDS) for more detailed screening. Orientation Decks

Our expertise in the area of design, manufacture, professional project management and reliable engineering within the airport environment has led to the development of a complete range of products for manual or fully automatic cargo handling systems.

From heavy-duty roller decks through to fully integrated automatic ULD (unit loading device) processing equipment, our cargo handling systems are a robust, flexible and low cost option. Our cargo handling products do not require additional civil works for installation and their modular design allows easy expansion, reconfiguration or relocation when required.
Our robust orientation decks for full sized ULDs are configured using ball transfer modules or castor deck modules either for manual transfer and orientation or for powered transfer and orientation using powered pop up rollers. They are available with integrated 7000 kg scales with an overall height of just 200mm, therefore requiring no pit or additional civil works.

Software Control Systems

Glide Sort 

GlideSort provides full sortation and flight allocation for departing baggage. Glidesort comes with standard SITA Bag Message and ARInc BagLink interface, GlideSort has been designed to connect to any number of DCS, BSI interfaces. GlideSort interfaces to a variety of different PLCs controlling sort systems as well as tilt tray sorters.

GlideSort offers extended baggage sort options, ranging from straight-forward flight number sorting through to any combination of flight number, class, destination and on-carriage flight sorting. Secure access to flight and BSM information is provided on a user and handler basis.
