Aviapartner Roll-Out Successfully Completed

GS RealTime is operational at Aviapartner's Düsseldorf Airport operation.

The Aviapartner Group provides full aircraft handling including handling of passengers, baggage, cargo and mail, maintenance, aircraft cleaning at 31 airports in 5 European countries.

Since 2001 Aviapartner has been successfully using the GS Rostering and GS Planning GroundStar modules for staff planning, rostering and management at 26 bases in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy. Since 2004 Aviapartner also optimises the allocation of its ground handling resources on the day of operation in the Transportation, Operations, Ramp handling and Passenger Services Departments at Brussels Airport with GroundStar. GS RealTime was recently rolled-out at the Aviapartner operation at Düsseldorf Airport. The roll-out was carried out with only minimal intervention by INFORM. The Aviapartner project team members had participated in INFORM’s train-the-trainer concept in advance, and were therefore well prepared to undertake the roll-out on their own.

GS RealTime underpins the deployment of a total of 150 staff at the loading department. “We have been using GS Planning for preplanning and GS Rostering for the generation of shift rosters since the year 2004. The need for a tool to support the deployment of our loading department became necessary when we won a handling contract with Lufthansa at Düsseldorf Airport. Given our positive experience with GS Rostering and GS Planning and after reviewing its functionality in relation to our requirements, we were convinced that GS RealTime would meet our needs. This has definitely been proved to be the case in operations so far,” says Pieter Debruyn, Business Information Analyst at Aviapartner.
