The LFV Group - Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services

The LFV Group is a Government Business Enterprise and as such responsible for the planning, design, construction, supervision, administration and operation of 14 state-owned airports, as well as for civil aviation facilities and services at two military airports. The LFV Group is also responsible for the air navigation services in Sweden for both civil and military air traffic. Another field of responsibility is  development and training of human resources.

The Swedish LFV Group employs about 3,500 people of whom eighty per cent have professional, operational and technical roles. The LFV Group also maintains a technologically advanced system for airport operations, air traffic services and aviation safety and security activities.

The LFV Group plays a prominent role in the process of globalizing and harmonizing air traffic service management and aviation safety/security systems.  As a founding member of ICAO Sweden has played a key role in the ICAO Council and has participated in its organizational work since it was established in 1947. The LFV Group participates in special ICAO technical panels as well as in many other international aviation organizations.

LFV Aviation Consulting was established in 1982 and is a consultant company with no commercial interest in the supply of equipment, nor is it committed to any one national civil aviation management system philosophy. Accordingly, the company is able to offer independent advice on technical or management solutions that best match client needs while conforming to state-of-the-art practices and technology.

The company has a multi-skilled background from international aviation projects as well as from worldwide ICAO assignments. In many cases staff members have dual qualifications in fields such as air traffic operations, engineering, aircrew, economics, business administration and human components of the air transport sector. Therefore they are able to provide powerful assistance in the development of competencies within the sector.

LFV Aviation Consulting

Resources used by LFV Aviation Consulting for international projects are mainly personnel and facilities available at the LFV Group. Although assigned individuals to a specific project work for LFV Aviation Consulting , the full competence of the LFV Group is at all times available. Should any project require competence not available within the LFV Group, LFV Aviation Consulting  assigns qualified individuals on a contractual basis.

The company has a considerable track record of performance with civil aviation administrations, airport authorities, air traffic control, aviation safety standards and security service for operators and multilateral development agencies all over the world. LFV Aviation Consulting  has provided services to more than 50 countries through a number of different projects where all specializations mentioned above have been included. Furthermore, LFV Aviation Consulting  has provided international training in aviation safety and for air navigation services. Students from more than 90 countries have attended courses at our Institute of Aviation Safety and ATS Academy in Sweden.
