Special Forensic Equipment for Authenticity Control of Travel Documents

For almost 20 years Regula Ltd. has been developing and producing special forensic equipment for authenticity control of travel documents (passports, visas, ID cards, etc.). The main product groups are: a) document examination equipment, b) equipment for automatic processing of travel documents, c) special forensic devices, d) electronic databases of passports/IDs, driver’s licenses and vehicle registration certificates, banknotes.

Full-page Document Reader

(desk–top model 70x4 and mobile models 83x3) offers full page scanning of passports/IDs, reading of all information (MRZ OCR, VizOCR, RFID, SmartCard) and automatic authenticity verification (cross-verification of textual data, UV patterns, IR patterns, IPI, etc). All procedures are performed within seconds and are applicable both to ICAO and non-ICAO compliant documents.

Devices for Document Authenticity Control

(models 4105, 4177, 4303M, 4305MH) designed for operative or in depth analysis of documents (passport, visa, ID, driver’s license) security features and their authenticity control. This range of devices includes normal and video magnifiers, video spectral comparators, microscopes.

Reference Systems:

for verification of identity documents and banknotes

(Passport, Autodocs, Frontline Document System, Currency) are unique digital databases containing images of passports, ID cards, visas, driver’s licenses, vehicle registration certificates, banknotes under different lights (white, UV, IR) with detailed explanation of protection features inside those documents. These reference systems are compatible with document readers and devices for document authenticity control.

Mobile Equipment

(model 8003 and 8304) are designed for examination and verification of identity documents in the field. These sets include video spectral comparators, image processing software and reference systems. They have autonomous power supply with an option of charging from 12/24V and 110/220V.
