SESAR is the European air traffic control infrastructure modernisation programme.
SESAR aims at developing the new generation air traffic management system capable of ensuring the safety and fluidity of air transport worldwide over the next 30 years.
In order to properly manage the development phase of this huge and ambitious project, a legal entity was created, under European Community law:

SESAR at ATC Global 2012
Preparations have started for another successful SESAR presence at ATC Global 2012 (6-8 March 2012). As in previous years, the SESAR JU will have a stand in hall 9 and will organise a good number of conferences and technical workshops:
- On 6 March, we will address the ATM community at the SESAR Forum to provide a thorough update on the status of the programme.
- On 7 March, the SESAR JU is organising three technical workshops on airports, the integrated controller working position and the 4D trajectory.
