PassengerBagdrop

PassengerBagdrop is a software application which allows ground handling staff at Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) locations to quickly check bags for passengers using self-service check-in. It provides an identical user interface for multiple airline DCS hosts to make common bag drop possible.

Self-service check-in is growing and providing real value, but that value will be fully unlocked only when it is matched with an efficient, common bag drop solution. Self-service passenger processes that encompass checking bags increase passenger satisfaction.

AirportConnect OPEN

Lets airports maximize use of check-in counter and gate resources.

AirportConnect Open is the next generation of SITA’s highly successful CUTE solution. In 2009, SITA became the first platform provider to achieve CUPPS (Common Use Passenger Processing) compliance. AirportConnect Open, upgraded with CUPPS, will support CUPPS, legacy CUTE, proprietary and Web-based applications as well as CUSS (Common Use Self Service) kiosk applications.

SITA's CUPPS application can run on multiple vendor platforms and therefore eliminate the cost to the airline of certifying the application on each platform. It enables airlines to access their own dedicated applications in a common use environment acceptable for use by all airports and airlines.

BagManager

BagManager, when deployed system-wide by an airline, provides a “track and trace” system at single and multi-airport locations to reconcile bags with passengers as they move through and between airports.

The system provides positive passenger bag match, ensuring that passengers and their bags travel together on the same aircraft.

BagManager tracks the movement of baggage from check-in to flight departure, monitoring baggage from airport to airport. It also provides baggage handlers with real-time information on baggage status.

At airport check-in, the departure control system issues a tag with a bar code for each passenger’s bag.

This bar code is transmitted to BagManager and is tracked around the airport and throughout the airline’s network.
