Servisair acquires full ownership of Servisair & Shell Fuel ServicesHouston, TX - On August 11, 2010, Servisair and the aviation business unit of Shell Oil Products US ("Shell Aviation") have reached an agreement for Servisair to acquire the interest of Shell Aviation in the jointly-owned company Servisair & Shell Fuel Services ("SSFS")
As it has been the case since the joint venture's formation, Servisair will continue to provide all services to the existing customers at each of its 13 airport locations, in what we expect to be a seamless transition.
Servisair & Shell Fuel Services was originally formed to combine the complementary strengths of both companies in North America. The company has succeeded in increasing the efficiency of into-plane services as well as improving safety performance within the industry. We intend to expand on these strengths as we move to grow the company in the future.
The business name will be changed to "Servisair Fuel Services LLC" as soon as possible. The brand transition from Servisair & Shell Fuel Services to Servisair Fuel Services is expected to be completed by the end of September.
