Emergency Evacuation Airstair System (EEAS)
Rescuestair Systems EEAS
TEC Hünert's main field of activity is the development and manufacturing of airport ground support equipment with over 30 years experience. The range of products comprises all kinds of ground support equipment. From container-dollies and luggage trailers over passengerstairs, VIP-transport-vehicles and other complex vehicles with TEC Hünert self-constructed chassis up to sophisticated Rescuestair Systems EEAS.
An emphasis is put on all kinds of passengerstairs: towed, with auxiliary drive, selfdrive, telscopic stairs, escalator stairs to name but a few types.
For airport ground support equipment (especially stairs) TEC Hünert ranges among the top 3 in Germany with customers all over the world.
Being the inventor of the Emergency Evacuation Airstair System EEAS, short "Rescuestair" TEC Hünert is also the worldwide marketleader for that product which is basically designed to be used by Airport Rescue and Firefighting Brigades.
Besides mature technology and a lot of experience in the development and manufacturing of GSE products, TEC Hünert makes it possible that all products can be adapted to specific requirements in a flexible and customer-oriented way, all the way to the development of new special-purpose vehicles entirely from scratch.
So TEC Hünert can meet almost every customer demand for the equipment and technology of GSE products and especially for the core product Rescuestair – from different heights to different chassis, it is suitable for use on aircraft ranging from the A380 to the Boeing 747.
TEC Hünert is a reliable partner of virtually all major german airports. Through constantly expanding international cooperations the products are now in operation at many airports in Europe and all over the world.
The Rescuestair - Emergency Evacuation Airstair System EEAS
A core product of TEC Hünert is the Rescuestair. Being the inventor of the Emergency Evacuation Airstair System EEAS, short "Rescuestair" , TEC Hünert is also the worldwide marketleader for that product. The Rescuestair is basically designed to be used by Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Brigades.
Its original purpose is to quickly reach an aircraft that is involved in an accident, to rescue passengers out of the aircraft and to provide access for Rescueteams to the aircraft. Depending on the selected equipment version, it can also perform first firefighting actions.
While it was originally developed to be used on airports, it is also very suitable for seaports or elevated railways.
The Rescuestair Offers a Flexible Field of Applications
As mentioned before, the original purpose of the Rescuestair is to quickly provide access for Rescueteams to the aircraft. As evacuation via slide is an expensive option, the Rescuestair offers a much more effective and economic way to quickly reach an aircraft that is involved in an accident. Furthermore the heightened threat of international terrorism, especially with airports as primary targets, allows for another possible function of the rescuestair. The training however for this, is in early stages. The huge potential that the Rescuestair presents in the struggle against terrorism is obvious as the height the platform can reach offers access to the cabin via the doors or the outer shell of the aircraft.
The TEC Hünert Rescuestair is as easy to operate as other passenger stairs, but offers enhanced security and comfort for the passengers. Part of the attraction of the stair to fire crews, is the ease with which it can be operated, the space given to crews to react in an emergency and the different equipment that can be maintained and used with the stair.
Flexible Concepts for the Rescuestair
With regard to customer preferences and different technical requirements on different airports, the Rescuestair system has been designed as a flexible concept.
The superstructural parts can be built on several types of chassis, e.g. 4x2, 4x4, 6x4 which are available from all major chassis manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz, MAN or Volvo to name but a few. Many optional components and functional features are available, thus allowing perfect adaption to the specific requirements that may occur on the site of deployment.
As the TEC Hünert Rescuestair is such an advanced piece of equipment and designed with flexible components, it is also suitable for use on aircraft ranging from the A380 to the Boeing 747.
Priority of the Rescuestair is the Safety of Passengers
TEC Hünert designed the Rescuestair with the safety of passengers as priority. This was done in accordance within the health and safety regulations for passenger handling.
It is essential that when handling passengers in an emergency, the Rescuestair in use offers safety, is easy to access and is able to be employed swiftly and effectively.
The TEC Hünert Rescuestair offers all these advantages.
