Flight Information Display System (FIDS)
to keep passengers informed.
UFIS-AS’s Flight Information Display System (UFIS® FIDS) ensures that accurate and complete information is displayed at the right time, in the right location, and in the right language. Flight, delay or boarding information, as well as gate or baggage belt assignments, can be processed automatically.
With 25 years of experience in this line of work, UFIS-AS offers a wide range of systems, capable of handling any type of display media, such as split-flap, LCD or LED boards, plasma, TFT and CRT monitors. With its Central Database (CEDA), the system is designed to operate with minimal manual entry.
One of the recent additions to the UFIS® portfolio is the Web-based Flight Information Display System — WebFIDS. WebFIDS provides the same reliability and industry-proven functionality as our classic FIDS solution with the added flexibility of being able to use any PC-based controller running Windows or Linux as the display controller. In addition it is possible for anyone with a little experience in HTML to design their own pages in a very short time.

Operations Planning System
to plan and control resources effectively
UFIS-AS’s Operations Planning System supports precise calculation of existing demands to allocate equipment, personnel and other resources on a long-term basis. Operational features include decision-support functions, for example to help the user respond to sudden changes in resource requirements.
The Operations Planning System, comprising the modules Coverage and Rostering, supports the users in planning and controlling their resources. By precisely calculating existing demands, the user can easily allocate the equipment, personnel and other resources on a long-term basis, and create and assign work schedules.
Absences can be planned; work pools defined and continuous supervision on these processes can be exercised. With the controlling features included in the system, the user can respond to sudden resource requirements or create simulated work conditions to plan for special circumstances.
Operations Support System (OPSS)
to organize aircraft ground handling efficiently
UFIS-AS's Operations Support System (OPSS) finds and eliminates bottlenecks by distributing the workload evenly among all available personnel and machinery. By minimizing delays and speeding up turnaround times, the system helps to increase passenger satisfaction.
OPSS tackles the continuing problem of efficient resource management. Our Central Database (CEDA) contains all information necessary to support ground operations. This information includes the flight schedule and aircraft data. Through the planning modules within UFIS® (Location Management, Coverage and Rostering) contractual agreements, ramp allocation data, employee data, their availability and permits are also available in CEDA.
Based on this information and numerous specifiable preconditions, OPSS can create duty assignments and worksheets for all employees and resources. When problem situations occur, such as conflicting resource requirements, they immediately appear on the supervisor's screen.
