Landside & Airside trolleys
As an expert in trolley manufacturing Wanzl utilises a range of materials including steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Plastic parts are moulded in-house and enable even greater design flexibility. Our premium galvanic treatments guarantee state of the art anti-corrosion surfaces while the latest robotic welding and bending ensures continuous quality and fast delivery time for high volume orders.
Around the world, Wanzl services 180 airports by supplying landside and airside trolleys which are often customised to meet exact service requirements. These include braked or brake-free trolleys, TÜV-certified trolleys for safe use on escalators and trolleys which are suitable for movement by powered tugs. Our airside trolleys help transit passengers carry hand luggage and enjoy hands-free shopping in designated duty-free areas.

Trend towards trolley rental systems
Wanzl has installed complete trolley management systems, including coin-operated trolley dispensing stations at a number of airports such as in Rome, Athens, Antalya, Genoa, Catania, Birmingham, Weeze, Frankfurt-Hahn and Dortmund. The dispensing unit saves precise data on trolley usage and delivers valuable statistics for financial and operational management. Data can be called up at any time. The data is fed into a specially developed DIMOS software programme, which supports optimum control of the overall system even from a remote office.
Coin-operated trolley systems with refund function have also been installed, for example at Milwaukee and Dallas Love Field Airports in the USA and at the railway terminal in Täsch/Zermatt, Switzerland. Those vending units accept payment with coins, banknotes or credit cards.

RFID-Tracking
Wanzl has implemented a unique trolley management system for Dubai Airports for 5.500 Voyager 3000 trolleys at Terminal 3, featuring an innovative RFID tracking and management system which can locate each individual trolley in defined zones. This brand new system, the first of its kind worldwide, enhances service quality and passenger satisfaction while at the same time optimising staff resources.
At many international airports Wanzl has installed a full trolley management system, also including vending units for dispensing luggage trolleys, with returnable or non-returnable deposits.
Programmable currency changer
A further trolley management innovation from Wanzl is a programmable currency changer in a high quality stainless steel case. The integrated banknote reader can accept banknotes in a range of currencies, identify them and then exchange them for coins in the pre-selected currency. Exchange rates are adjustable. In addition to the currency changer, Wanzl is also introducing a money change dispenser into its airport trolley management programme, which transfers bank notes values into coins.
