Airport Runway Marking Removal & Runway Rubber Removal
Waterblasting Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1988 and today, it is the world’s largest producer of waterblasting equipment for runway rubber removal and marking removal from airport and highway pavements.
It is the sole manufacturer of the Stripe Hog Waterblasting System which can be found operating in 24 countries on 4 continents.
The latest innovation to Stripe Hog is an on-board, water recycling system enabling the equipment to operate for 40+ working hours without requiring changing of the water. The Stripe Hog is faster, more effective, and more GREEN than any other similar product.
Runway Rubber Removal and Pavement Marking Removal
The SH8000 with the optional tractor for runway rubber & marking removal is simply the most comprehensive, complete, and conveniently operated waterblasting equipment in the world. It offers runway rubber removal rates of up to 20,000 square feet (1860 square meters) per hour without causing damage to grooved or smooth surface runways and by means of only one truck and a single operator.
Use only 40,000 psi (2750 bar), no chemicals, no detergents, no brooms and no secondary vacuum trucks. With the immediate vacuum recovery, the runway is immediately available for emergency landings during the cleaning process.
Stripe Hog SH8000
Mobile Blasting Unit - HT2500
The SH8000 can be equipped with a tractor mounted blasting system (HT2500 – Hog Rider) for the removal and cleaning applications both on the airfield and landside. On the airfield, the tractor unit is ideal for the removal or cleaning of taxiway, apron, and gate markings. On the landside, the SH8000 with the optional tractor unit will remove or clean road markings, pedestrian markings, and car park markings. It can also be used for the simple cleaning of sidewalks.
Maximum Portability
The SH3000 is unique in that the entire unit is built on a 20’, skid-like platform which makes it the most portable of the Stripe Hog® models for runway rubber removal and runway rubber removal.
It is the only Stripe Hog® system that does not include a chassis. Unlike the truck mounted versions of the Stripe Hog®, the SH3000 requires a 225 hp auxiliary diesel engine for the powering of the UHP water pump and the vacuum blower.
It is noteworthy though that only one engine is used to power both of these components. It is also ideal for contactors and airports that have a limited budget and already own a chassis or trailer that would support the SH3000. If the size or cost of an SH8000 is beyond your reach, consider the value and portability of the SH3000.
Hog Rider HT-2500
Stripe Hog SH-5500
The SH5500 is mounted on a Ford model F-550, 350 horsepower, six speed manual transmission. It is armed with a single blasting head in the front, which can easily be adapted anywhere from 6-24 inches along with a variety of levels of aggression to match any application. This SH5500 produces 75% of the removal capacity of our largest model, the SH8000, for just over 50% of the cost providing a cost effective and comprehensive solution for runway marking removal and runway rubber removal.
This unit boasts an ultra-high-pressure pump that produces 40,000 psi (2750 bar) at 8.5 gallons per minute. Equipped with the same water filtration and vacuum recovery system that is found in all of the Stripe Hogs, the water debris system separates the water from the debris so that the debris is disposed of in a nearly dry state, while the water is filtered to 100 micron.
