Airport Runway Maintenance/Rubber and Paint Marking Removal Service
Weigel Hochdrucktechnik's product line is centred around the TrackJet system, which has set new standards for the removal of rubber and paint markings on runways, taxiways and aprons. It also cleans the AGL during the rubber removal process and therefore it is of increasing interest to the runway maintenance organisations and departments of the airport industry. An additional feature is road retexturing, which allows the safety of the runway or road to be improved considerably.
Weigel Hochdrucktechnik has specialized in this business field for 30 years. In 1998, by request of a customer the TrackJet Rubber and Paint Removal System was developed and sold to an Airport Contractor in East Asia. Up until 2009 more than 29 systems have been sold.

TrackJet cooperation with Kahlbacher!Mellrichstadt, 7 October 2009
Weigel Hochdrucktechnik presented an innovative product complementing the existing TrackJet® product range, which is already in operation at more than 60 airports worldwide, at the „inter airport europe 2009“ in Munich (6 - 9 October 2009).
The German company together with the Austrian snow blower specialist company Kahlbacher, have developed a quickly and easily attachable TrackJet® front module for Kahlbacher‘s high speed snow blower KFS 170 M2.
It takes only a few minutes to attach the TrackJet® module to the front of the snow blower and it is immediately operational. Consequently, this product will result in a huge advantage for airport operators because they can use their snow blowers efficiently during the whole year - both as snow plough as well as for maintaining the runways.
The new TrackJet® version combines the advantages and experience of both products in a perfect way: TrackJet® is an ultra high water pressure cleaning system for runways, which is extremely environmentally friendly because it uses just water without the addition of chemicals, to gently remove rubber or paint markings from the surface.
On the other hand, the steering and drive technology developed by Kahlbacher and used for the TrackJet® provides maximum performance with a continuously variable hydraulic four-wheel drive and the highest possible operational comfort in the fully-suspended drivers cab.
The high speed blower cutter and the TrackJet® system are mounted on a truck with a CAN-BUS-controlled two-motor-system.
