AFI-Uplift are one of the UK’s leading powered access specialists with national coverage around the UK; providing all types of Powered Access Equipment including articulating and stick booms, scissor lifts, mast lifts and push around verticals (PAVs).
From only three UK depots and 270 machines in 2002, we have expanded to 21 locations in the UK with a fleet of 6,000 MEWPs ranging from 3m PAVs to 59m Boom Lift.
We have built a strong reputation in the market and have been involved in high profile projects such as at the Olympics London 2012, Goodwood Festival of Speed and on landmarks such as London Bridge and the O2 Arena.
We are an airside approved Powered Access supplier at some of the UK’s largest International airports such as Heathrow, Manchester, Gatwick, Stansted and Birmingham. We have permission to book-in deliveries and collections to and from all terminals at each Airport, so all you need to do is call us to hire the machine then we’ll do the rest.

An example of the work we have completed is a 3 year contract with Flybe Aviation Services; one of the world’s leading maintenance, repairs and overhaul organisations, providing a full range of support services to regional aircraft operators. Flybe Aviation Services uses our JLG scissor lifts for aircraft inspection, maintenance and repair, particularly to gain access to the upper fuselage and tail sections.

Familiarisation Videos
A key contributory factor to MEWP operator accidents, incidents and fatalities is a lack of familiarisation about the machine they are operating and a lack of knowledge about the emergency rescue procedures. Our award winning Familiarisation and Emergency Lowering Videos give operators and ground/rescue personnel the detail required for proper familiarisation, to access these videos scan the QR code decal on the machine to be taken directly to that machines familiarisation video.

AFI Online
The AFI’s online portal allows you, to do business with us easier. All information given is in ‘live’ time and is available at a click of a button.
As a registered online user account holder you will have access to your account details, checking live and previous hires, invoices, at any time at your convenience. It also gives you the ability to order your machines online.

Email Confirmation
When you place a MEWP hire order we will send an email confirming information such as hire start date, a.m. or p.m. delivery slot, the delivery address and machine type. You will also receive emails from us:
- When a machine is delivered
- When you off hire a machine
- When we collect the machine
Included with this we can send a Service Engineer if there are any issues with the MEWP during a hire, our email notification system will keep you informed and let you know when it has been completed.
