dBD Communications

Wireless Pushback, De-Icing, Maintenance, Turnaround and ATC Communications for Ground Handling Operations

dBD Communications formed in 2002 to support the RF & Microwave markets throughout Europe. Experienced in Military, Rail, Avionics and Commercial Communications, utilising RF & Microwave capability. Our aim is to supply both Product Requirements and Business Management Solutions in many market fields.

Our mission is to maintain an evolving product portfolio that meets the needs of our customers, consistently adding new lines, extending our relationships with component and sub system manufacturers worldwide.

We apply the same mantra with our own manufactured product lines, where we continually innovate new designs and capabilities into our solutions, ensuring we deliver the latest and most effective technology for our customer base.

dBD Communications value Health and Safety and in 2009, we produced a brief on duplex communications required for Network Rail during trackside works.  Network Rail saw how this capability could reduce health and safety risks and in 2012 mandated the use of the products when controlling plant equipment.

We have since become specialised in short range wireless duplex communication systems.  With a significant share of the market place for UK rail infrastructure and an increasing demand in construction and civil markets.  Technology advancements are occurring in the airport ground handling sector with a variety of wireless communication solutions for Pushback, De-Icing, Engineering and Maintenance and Turnaround applications.

The wireless concept has many benefits against its wired counterpart, such as reduction in trip hazards, eliminating the risk of electrocution from being tethered to the aircraft, reducing costs surrounding damaged cables and allows free movement around the whole aircraft with a continuous open or momentary communication range of up to 500m with the remainder of the team, including the Flight Deck.  The systems also have 27dB of noise protection for the users.

dBD Communications accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and follow a strict quality management system.
