Almost 3000 specialists were trained in Aviation Security at the ICAO Training Center of Boryspil International Airport

2,899 aviation specialists have been trained in Aviation Security at the ICAO Training Center of Boryspil International Airport during 2021. This number includes employees of Boryspil International Airport and employees of external organizations from Ukraine and even abroad.

International Organization of Civil Aviation ICAO establishes international standards of civil aviation and coordinates its development aiming at increasing safety and effectiveness. There are 35 certified ICAO training centers over the world, while Kyiv is the only city in the world, having 2 of such centers: at Boryspil International Airport and in National Aviation University.

Training center was established in order to provide an educational activity on training and re-training of a personnel on the field of aviation security. Lectures are conducted by certified and experienced instructors. Training techniques of the material meet international standards, including various training methods and provide the opportunity of experience exchange between participants of the course.

In particular, aviation specialists got basic training in AvSec, specifically: “Course for the Personnel Performing Patrolling of Aircrafts, Important Airport Facilities and Ensuring of Access Control”, “Aviation Security Management”, “Basic Training on Assessing Threat through Behavior Detection” and many other.
