Next Sunday, the 26th, at 5:25 pm, BH Airport inaugurates an unprecedented operation with the new route to Bogotá, Colombia. The operations will be carried out by Avianca, in aircraft of the A319 family, with capacity for 120 passengers. The company offers five weekly flights, in three schedules, from the international terminal in Minas Gerais to El Dorado Airport, in the Colombian capital. Tickets can be purchased on the airline’s website and application, in addition to physical points of sale or travel agencies.

The new destination connects the versatility of the two powers that move the economy with an agricultural vocation, an innovative profile focused on the development of startups and a tourist essence, which has been improving the travel experience for passengers. On the one hand, the tourist-cultural cradle of historic cities, such as Medellín and Bogotá, and the paradisiacal Colombian Caribbean, in Cartagena, such as Playa Blanca and the island of San Andrés. On the other hand, the natural riches of Minas Gerais, framed by the gastronomic universe, internationally recognized, and by the high value of the historical and cultural heritage.

In addition to access to the diversity of the country’s exuberant landscapes and guided visits to the farms of the coffee axis, Bogotá provides tourists with contact with the history and culture portrayed in museums such as Ouro and Botero, with the famous Colombian musical rhythms and the admirable view. of Monserrate peak, among other scenarios. Passenger boarding facilities are also highlights of the new route. Brazilians do not need a visa or passport to travel to Colombia. Only an identity document, proof of international vaccination against yellow fever and vaccination protocol against Covid-19 are required.

We are excited about the opening of this destination. We are aware of the potential of this route to connect travelers to Colombia and also to other global destinations, such as the United States and European countries. Bogotá is an important international hub. From the Colombian capital, the passenger goes to Aruba and also to Boston. We are dedicated to shortening distances and connecting destinations and, thus, expanding the connectivity of Minas Gerais with the world”, emphasizes the Director of Operations and Infrastructure at BH Airport, Herlichy Bastos.
