From January to August 2022, customers at Belo Horizonte International Airport were the ones who most used the service installed by the company in nine Brazilian airports

The Express Baggage Dispatch is already used by almost 70% of LATAM passengers in Belo Horizonte. This is what the company’s survey on the adoption of technology throughout Brazil proves. From January to August 2022, customers at Belo Horizonte International Airport used the service installed by LATAM in nine Brazilian airports the most. The technology makes the customer journey faster, autonomous and safer, reducing the time in service queues by up to 50%. In Belo Horizonte, the LATAM service has been available since November 19, 2021.

As Derick Barboza, director of Airports at LATAM Brazil, highlights, “we are happy with the results in Belo Horizonte. We want to transform the customer journey so that their journey is easier and safer. Therefore, we have promoted several innovations for the self-management of our products and services in recent years. We are the airline that most tested biometric facial recognition on boarding in Brazil and also the only one to use the QR Code to register this functionality, recently made possible at Congonhas and Santos Dumont airports”.

In August of this year, the domestic offer of LATAM seats in Minas Gerais is already 114% higher, compared to the same month of 2021. In the state, the inclusion of the routes Juiz de Fora/Zona da Mata-São Paulo/ Guarulhos (7 weekly flights), Montes Claros-São Paulo/Guarulhos (7 weekly flights), Belo Horizonte/Confins-Curitiba (7 weekly flights), Belo Horizonte/Confins-Fortaleza (7 weekly flights) and Belo Horizonte/Confins-Vitória (7 weekly flights), in addition to strengthening the Uberlândia-São Paulo/Congonhas flights (2 for 7 weekly flights), Uberlândia-São Paulo/Guarulhos (10 for 14 weekly flights), Belo Horizonte/Confins-São Paulo/Congonhas (26 for 56 weekly flights), Belo Horizonte/Confins-São Paulo/Guarulhos (37 for 42 weekly flights) and Belo Horizonte/Confins-Rio de Janeiro/Santos Dumont (5 for 12 weekly flights).
