More than 900,000 passengers are expected to pass through Belo Horizonte International Airport in November

Despite the challenging scenario, due to the effects of the pandemic on aviation, the number represents a growth of 30% compared to November 2021

The movement of passengers and aircraft at Belo Horizonte International Airport, in November, should repeat the level registered in October and about 920 thousand people should pass through the terminal. The number represents a 30% growth compared to November 2021. The number of flights is expected to reach 7,700 between takeoffs and landings. The holiday of the Proclamation of the Republic (15), which falls on a Tuesday, should influence the flow of passengers.

We are on the right path, but we still cannot say that the consequences of the pandemic have been overcome”, emphasizes the director of Operations and Infrastructure at BH Airport, Herlichy Bastos. “The reflexes of Covid-19 changed the dynamics of the market, and we need to monitor these changes, which will last for a long time, to build a new future for the sector”, he explains. “The profile of passengers has changed, and the airline networks are still being rebuilt”, says Herlichy, noting that the impacts of the pandemic are still being felt in the airport sector.

Destinations served in November
BH International Airport is connected to 40 destinations this month, between extra and regular flights. For December, the estimate is to exceed 50 markets served. Among the international destinations, in November, the novelty is the increase in the frequency of the Cup to Panama, from five to seven weekly flights. The route to Lisbon/Portugal remains unchanged.
