Sofia Airport Celebrates International Aviation & Astronautics Day

Students from the Francophone Institute of Administration and Management visited Sofia Airport on the International Aviation and Astronautics Day.

They were welcomed by part of the SOF Connect team – Henning Pfisterer, Chief Operating Officer of Sofia Airport, Rosen Bachvarov, Director of Institutional Relations and Communications and Dimitar Bikov, Director of Marketing and Business Development.

During their visit, the students got a close look at the overall organization of the largest international airport in the country, including the interaction between the different units, processes and technologies of the airport. The students also participated in a tour during which they got to know the different activities that take place at an airport, seeing up closely the airfield with the runway, the tower from which flights are controlled, the equipment used to serve aircraft, passengers and baggage, the airport park and much more.
