Dealing with STAT Times is always a friendly, straight forward process and I now consider the Aerospace & Defence MRO – South Asia Summit one of the core media partnerships in our calendar,”

Aeromorning.com, World Air News and Aviation Guide are some other notable aviation publications worldwide that have partnered with the 3rd Aerospace & Defence MRO South Asia Summit 2020.

Our special thanks go to Air Cargo Update, independent bi-monthly magazine featuring news and analysis of the challenges faced by the fast-growing air cargo industry. They have been actively supporting the summit.

As per the survey by Frost and Sullivan, the Global MRO is expected to grow by USD 28 billion in the next 7 years and Asia-Pacific will be the second largest market, accounting for 21% global MRO value.

Other competitive market surveys share the same growth story for MRO markets. A survey by Oliver Wyman states that the total MRO spend is expected to rise from USD 81.9 billion in 2019 to USD 116 billion in 2029.

Also, the predicted annual average growth rate for the MRO market will be 3.5 per cent over the decade.

Going by these figures, the MRO equations in South Asia is changing at a rapid pace. The Government of India is all set ‘to make India a hub of maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) activities and adopt suitable policy interventions to create a congenial atmosphere for the development of MRO in the country’. With this, the future of Aerospace MRO certainly looks bright.

The Indian Government’s annual budget also mentioned relaxation of foreign direct investment rules in the aviation sector.

With strong policy reforms and support from the government, there is a positive sentiment in the Aerospace market across the country. Further the government plans to implement measures to make the country a hub of aircraft leasing and aviation finance.

Riding high on these lines, the 3rd Aerospace and Defence MRO South Asia Summit will take place on the 6th and 7th February 2020 at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, India.
