IFSEC International is delighted to announce the return of the Future of Security Theatre, created in collaboration with Tavcom Training, to its 2020 event.

IFSEC International and Tavcom Training have enjoyed a long partnership that has made the Future of Security Theatre a mainstay at the event. The theatre educates visitors about the changing security landscape, highlighting the latest technology and biggest ideas shaping the sector. Last year it hosted several Tavcom tutors, as well as the BSIA’s Steve Lampett, James Morris, Director of at ASIS UK, Prof. Alison Wakefield, Chairman of the Security Institute, and BT security managers Ruth Sanders and Sodhi Dhillon.

Tavcom Training is one of the UK’s leading providers of technical security training courses, covering CCTV installation, design and maintenance, intruder alarm installation, access control, fire alarms, IP networking, and electro-technical work.

In 2020, the Future of Security Theatre will be sponsored for the first time by Texecom, a supplier of innovative electronic security products and services, and a regular exhibitor at IFSEC International.

Earlier this year, Texecom partnered with Tavcom Training to launch the Texecom Academy, a new technical training service helping security professionals adapt to their industry’s changing technological landscape. This new initiative makes Texecom the ideal sponsor for the Future of the Security Theatre.

Clym Brown, Marketing Director at Texecom commented:

“We are delighted that installers visiting IFSEC will have the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge from the Future of Security Theatre. Texecom Academy has been created to help installers adapt to the rapid changes within our industry. The increasing uptake of value-added digital services requires installers to develop new skills, new tools and a new mindset to fully realise the potential that is on offer.”

Rachel Eaton, Event Manager of IFSEC International said:

“I am excited to see how the Future of Security Theatre evolves for IFSEC International 2020, and I’m delighted that Texecom will be working with us as we continue providing a valuable window into the future of the security industry. IFSEC International has always had a future-facing outlook, and our partnership with Tavcom Training and the new sponsorship arrangement with Texecom is an essential part of that.”

Kevin Matthew, Director at Tavcom Training added:

“Tavcom Training is delighted to once again partner with IFSEC International 2020. As in the previous years, we will be working closely together to ensure that the Tavcom Training Future of Security Training Theatre will offer a great variety to all everyone attending this year’s show.
Visitors attending will gain valuable knowledge across a wide range of subjects, from cyber security to new licencing laws surrounding drone usage, artificial intelligence as well as robotics. Other topics will include the integration of security products and providing all attendees with valuable information when dealing with the ‘nitty-gritty’ parts of GDPR legislations.

Delivered by security systems industry leaders, these free to attend sessions will provide visitors with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and gain a better understanding of key security trends. Additionally, each lecture offers CPD points certified by the CTSP Register (Certified Technical Security Professional) to all who come.”
