Following the launch of this brand new ground handling event for Africa we have received extremely positive feedback and will hold the 2nd African GHI Conference in September 2016.
The continent of Africa is home to around one billion people and, unsurprisingly, the aviation industry is a growing business. Consequently, the need for safer, more cost efficient passenger and cargo handling has never been more apparent. The conference programme will continue to be specifically tailored to address the key operational challenges that the region faces on the ramp. According to IATA the aircraft incident rate is one of the highest globally and safety, training, compliance and security are the key areas that the region is striving to improve.
The 1st African GHI Conference was attended by over 160 delegates who made the most of the supplier exhibition, networking opportunities and conference papers which included key areas such as ISAGO, EU ACC3 compliance and safety management systems. Over 370 One-to-One meetings were also arranged, continuing GHI's reputation for events where real business can be done.
