The work at Heathrow will reinforce the existing system for the next 5 years and will be implemented over several phases. The first of these phases will include the design of a bypass system functionality along with the main resilience upgrade. This will then be followed by the implementation of the bypass system while the final phase will be the implementation of the main resilience upgrade.
