Security expert Abloy UK has continued to employ sector-specific experts within its Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) division, appointing Wayne Webster as CNI Market Development Manager for Transport.
Wayne provides invaluable insight and brings a wealth of experience within a broad spectrum of security and infrastructure backgrounds to the role.
After a career in the military, the starting point of Wayne’s 26-year sector experience was moving to holistic security for both the Home Office and Foreign Office. This included facilitating and specifying a complete security provision, ranging from CCTV and manned guards, to security systems for controlling access and egress.
Following this, Wayne entered into the construction and infrastructure sectors, with roles involving site planning and utility mapping detection. Understanding the intricacies of CNI buildings and how they should operate is a fantastic asset in his new role at Abloy.
Excited to help provide solutions to the Transport sector, Wayne Webster said: “A big part of my new job with Abloy is to ensure I understand Critical National Infrastructure needs throughout the transport sector – from airports and railways to roads.
“I want to provide bespoke solutions and promote the huge range of benefits available from digital access control systems, above and beyond just being a lock and key.
“These include providing trackable data and audit trails, and the ability to grant or deny access to people depending on competencies. Abloy has a fantastic reputation and is highly regarded for locks and padlocks, so it’s exciting to show CNI organisations how much more we provide with our security systems.”
Aaron Yule, MD of Abloy UK added: “Wayne’s appointment strengthens Abloy’s commitment to maintaining its market-leading position and to continually evolve our high-security solutions for CNI organisations.
“We welcome Wayne to the team and look forward to utilising his expertise to better serve our clients within the transport industry.”
