Review 'security essen': Bosch successfully introduced integrated security solutions - in an airplane

Counting more than 39,000 visitors, the ‘security essen’ came to an end on October 28, 2012. With more than 1,000 square meters, Bosch Security Systems not only had an exceptional stand this year, but was the biggest exhibitor at the trade show.

Following the motto ‘destination security’, visitors entered an airport-like scenery, including a ‘duty free shop’, different ‘gates’, an information hall with display board and a ‘first class’ section.

“With visitors from over forty countries, the ‘security essen’ is the most important trade fair for us,” says Gert van Iperen, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Bosch Security Systems. “With our stand conception similar to an airport scenery, we had the ideal setting to present our business segments with their product highlights as well as the section of integrated security solutions.” In the ‘forum’ on the booth, which was designed like the first class of an airplane, visitors were provided with background information on product highlights at the fair such as the new HD-solutions. The ‘monitoring center’ focused on the cross-linking of products and services. Using the example of the newly introduced ‘Cloud-based Security & Services’, visitors could experience right at the stand how the Bosch Monitoring Center protects the sites of clients via remote video surveillance service. Video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire detection and voice evacuation systems as well as access control and management systems were presented with all new innovations at the different ‘gates’ of the booth. Here, the Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series and the complete access control solution ‘MATRIX’ were, among others, demonstrated to the visitors. A ‘duty free shop’ was designed for the products of the Advantage Line, which Bosch developed specifically for small to medium-sized applications. At the ‘System Integration Wall’ visitors could get information on the integration of products and solutions of the different product sections.

Gert van Iperen believes that the success of this year’s fair performance is also a result of the consistent implementation of the stand motto. “With the airport-like scenery at our booth, we were able to demonstrate our great expertise by presenting example reference projects from all over the world and, at the same time, show our visitors our complete product portfolio in this area.
