Due to the proven expertise of Airport Research Center in the implementation of LAG screening processes at airports, Mrs. Uta Kohse was interviewed by the magazine Passenger Terminal World in its latest issue September 2013.

She explained how to mitigate the existing uncertainities of the lifting of LAGs restrictions by using scenarios and sensitivity analysis. With applying a highly calibrated CAST Terminal simulation model, the potential impact and consequences of LAGs screening processes can be anticipated. Thus airports can react in time, choose the most efficient lane layout as well as optimize their staffing.
