How did you spend the winter that is now drawing to a close? Comfortably in front of a cozy fireplace, or actively out in the snow? For those of us at ewo, it was definitively the latter case. Because during this winter season, three exciting new ewo projects all celebrated their successful premieres in the snow. In the mountains of Tyrol and in the French Alps, alpine skiing meets our modular lighting system, and the illumination of mountain slopes and ski lifts has become the colorful staging of the landscape, a safe guiding system for the ski runs, and a background filled with tremendous atmosphere for an après-ski.

For the skiers, added enjoyment, and for us, the further development of light as a colorful scenograpy of the landscape. And not just in the winter.

ewo Heads for the Slopes! Two ski areas in Tyrol were not only modernized with new mountain lifts, but also equipped for skiing at night. For the Spieljochbahn cableway in the Zillertal valley, ewo provided the basic illumination with a colorful staging of the light including a spectacular long-distance effect, while the Patscherkofel, Innsbruck’s own local mountain, received illumination that also gratified nature-lovers.

New Entries in the ewo Family: IN and ID

From the very start, customized orientation assistance has been just one of ewo’s strengths in the Outdoor Lighting segment. Now, the product line has been expanded by two new solutions for street and walkway lighting. The IN and ID lighting systems can be built in flush and without visible fasteners. Thanks to the modular system, different emission characteristics are possible. The ID system that is optimized for building into circular tube banisters is optionally available with one to four lighting units, while the IN system with its flat surface comes in five models with three mounting variants. The precise, flush integration into the housing allows architects and lighting designers complete freedom with the design of the exterior space without pushing it into the foreground as the object of attention.
