After the new Hong Kong International Airport opened in 1998, growth in air cargo was particularly strong. An additional 8 cargo aircraft parking stands were added to the initial 13 stands. All stands were to be provided with hydrant fuelling from the existing 18 inch diameter cargo apron hydrant loop.
ejet provided engineering services to the main civil consultant to Airport Authority Hong Kong for the hydrant system extensions on the Cargo Aprons including:
- Risk assessment
- Planning
- Front end engineering – piping, mechanical, emergency shutdown
- Technical specification and detailed design
- Cost estimates
- Preparation of tender documents
- Construction monitoring and safety auditing
