Hoardfast sets sail for Iceland

Company Westgate
Date 28.02.2017

Westgate has recently shipped 300 metres of its market leading temporary partitioning product, Hoardfast, to Icelandic airport development company Isavia.

The recent purchase of Hoardfast falls in line with plans to complete phased developments at Keflavik International Airport, where on completion the Airport is expected to be able to receive 14 million passengers per year.

Isavia first experienced Hoardfast when travelling through London’s Gatwick Airport, where the product was being used during floor replacement works in the south terminal.

The Hoardfast system is used during fit out, renovation and construction works to safely segregate essential airport development whilst maintaining passenger experience.

Systems are of modular design, quick and clean to install and the weighted universal support foot ensures that the freestanding system can manage crowd loading requirements.

Isavia commented, “We saw the system in situ at Gatwick and we were impressed with the quality of the finish and how this was subtle in its surroundings. When we approached Westgate we were also sold on the reusability of the product, given the phased development plans we have in place.”

Hoardfast is also manufactured from over 85% recycled materials which is environmentally beneficial for today’s green Airports.
