Honeywell at Women in Aviation General Assembly

Sonja Strand, vice president & general manager for Honeywell’s Global Airports Business, delivered a keynote address today at the Women in Aviation (WIA) General Assembly, held alongside the 18th edition of the Airport Show at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Representing Honeywell as the Gold Sponsor of the event, Strand encouraged women who have a passion for aviation to pursue their interests with confidence, so that they can have long and rewarding careers in the industry.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, chairman of Dubai Airports, and chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the event was attended by hundreds of leading female aviation professionals, along with key aviation officials, senior managers working in aviation and aerospace, government officials, and female students from key colleges and universities that offer aviation, aerospace and engineering curriculums.
