ITS and ICONICS will be promoting a range of airport software solutions that deliver improvements in real-time data, airport visibility, monitoring and control, including airport control systems (PLC and SCADA), airport information management systems (FUSION AIMS) and airport sort allocation computer systems (SAC).

Airport Control Systems (PLC & SCADA)
ITS designs and implements SCADA and PLC-based control systems to support the efficient operation of airport facilities and baggage handling processes. The systems gather real-time data, provide alarm management functionality and present real-time historical and alarm information in intuitive, easy-to-use dashboard formats via mobile devices, tablets and PCs. With a control solution designed by ITS, airports can monitor, control and improve the efficiency and uptime of equipment and facilities.

Airport Information Management Systems (FUSION AIMS)
ITS’ FUSION AIMS is a real-time airport information management system that automatically gathers data and presents the real-time status of equipment, passenger queue lengths, passenger flows and airport operations and conditions, to allow management personnel to make quick and informed decisions.

The FUSION AIMS solution is flexible and can be integrated to monitor lifts, escalators, conveyors, baggage handling systems, as well as passenger queue lengths, baggage counts, flow rates, check-in desk availability, environmental conditions e.g. temperature and humidity, energy and utility usage. With FUSION AIMS you can improve airport-wide visualisation using real-time accurate data.

Sort Allocation Computer Systems (SAC)
ITS’ Sort Allocation Computer Systems (SAC) are based on modern supportable platforms including Microsoft SQL and ICONICS technologies. The software solutions manage baggage movement throughout a terminal, from check-in desk to the sort destinations.

The software solutions provide powerful sortation algorithms to sort baggage by flight, class, and onward destination, facilitating correct routing of all baggage. Whilst the systems offer the automatic allocation of sort-destinations based on an imported flight list, the manual allocation of sort-destinations by carrier and flight can also be customised and re-scheduled using an intuitive user interface.

The system provides automatic planning features based on departure time and configurable rules. It also manages scheduling conflict management, and provides real-time reporting and alarming where chute use overlaps are identified.
