Mariam Crichton and Matt Adams join the Snowflake team
Southampton, UK. 18 September 2013: Snowflake Software, experts in data exchange via open standards, have today announced the recent appointments of Mariam Crichton as Head of Product Development and Matt Adams as Business Development Manager. The new hires follow the company’s significant market growth, recent expansion into the USA, and newly redeveloped UK office
Mariam Crichton – Head of Product Development
With over 11 years of geospatial expertise in both the private and public sectors, Mariam Crichton joins Snowflake as Head of Product Development. Previously co-founder and Director at FIND, Mariam is a true entrepreneur. Her core talent lies in product innovation having been the visionary force behind the build and launch of FIND Maps, and innovating in B2B cloud computing, SAAS and the commercial use of OpenSource in the Geospatial sector.
With considerable experience in leading all aspects of business growth Mariam will be responsible for leading the Snowflake development team, product management and delivery.

Matt Adams – Business Development Manager
Matt Adams joins Snowflake as Business Development Manager with over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, having worked within GIS, application development and enterprise systems architecture roles at Atkins and the UK Met Office. Before joining Snowflake, Matt was Portfolio Technical Lead at the UK Met Office, with responsibility for architecting and developing a number of large real time weather and open data delivery systems. Most significantly Matt managed the design and development of the UK Met Office’s new web platform, which hosts not only their public website receiving millions of hits each day, but also a large number of high value B2B applications. Matt will be responsible for developing Snowflake’s relationships with Data Providers and National Mapping Agencies, whilst supporting existing customers and partners.
