Norwegian company Easy Roller launched a new thermoplastic wheelchair for airport security checkpoint at AVSEC 2010 in Frankfurt.
Currently, wheelchair-bound travellers or passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) inadvertently cause delays at the security checkpoint by activating the archway metal detector.
As a completely non-metallic wheelchair, the EasyRoller 2 is designed to enable wheelchair-bound PRM to undergo the same checkpoint procedures as other travellers, removing alarm incidents that slow down throughput and affect operational effectiveness.
