As air travel continues to become more accessible airports need to quickly adapt to cater for a changing and more diverse passenger profile. Correct selection of furniture is essential in providing a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. As the market leaders in terminal seating systems, OMK are continually looking to identify the future requirements for seating.
In a departure from beam seating, their in-house design team have developed a new concept seat designed for mixed use areas such IDLs and arrivals concourses. Link is a moulded polyurethane seat with a unique geometric shape which can be combined to create numerous dynamic configurations.
A simple linking device can be easily removed and reattached allowing for easy reconfiguration if necessary. Base units can be combined with optional accessories including dividers, tables and charging points to create an endless number of layouts. The open structure allows for high visibility and easy cleaning.
To compliment Link OMK will also be unveiling Hub, a working table with integrated power and USB charging. It is built around a central steel conduit which routes all electrical cabling and houses unto 4 replaceable power modules. Connection to existing power circuits is simple as Hub terminates in one standard plug making it easy to add to any public space. FSC certified ply wood panels finished with a Fenix laminate are attached to frame.
Available free standing or floor fixed in a range of colours. Power modules are available in any international socket with an optional USB A and C port for added connectivity.
Both Link and Hub will be launched in March at PTE 2019 London, stand # 3042, alongside OMK’s full range of award-winning terminal seating solutions Flite, Trax and Seville.
