Premiere for topsystem at air cargo europe - ECHO system for comprehensive air cargo customs clearance

At air cargo europe, an event hosted during the transport logistic trade fair in Munich from 9 to 12 May 2017, topsystem will present its new Electronic Cargo Handling & Operations System (ECHOS), a web-based system with a modular design that is always process-oriented. The IT solution reliably and efficiently covers all document-based and physical working procedures in the field of air cargo customs clearance – and it does so in a fully automated manner. Paper-based processes are thus a thing of the past. In addition to fulfilling all important tasks related to imports and exports, ECHOS also comes with a host of additional modules and apps, for example dedicated to cargo movement and warehouse management. Trade fair visitors are able to test the solution themselves at exhibition booth 440 in hall B1, where there will also be a live demonstration of the mobile version for smart devices, mECHOS.

air cargo europe will for the eighth time bring together the international aviation industry under one roof. For the first time at the fair, topsystem will be presenting its air cargo customs clearance solutions for the aviation industry. ECHOS is a software solution with a modular design that can be customised for specific requirements. This helps to reduce costs, as users only receive what they actually need. The export-related functions cover, for example, air waybill management, notification type management and individual checklist processes. For import-related tasks, the solution encompasses damage assessment, label printing and warehouse management, including a tracking function. In addition, it allows data to be exchanged with customs administrations and forwarding agents. ECHOS is available as a web-based solution, meaning that as many company units as necessary can work with the system. Company-wide master data can be managed independent of location, as can regional aspects such as warehouse structures. Furthermore, users can choose which device they use, be it computer, tablet or smartphone. topsystem also offers the mobile version mECHOS. In addition to the execution of operative processes, ECHOS provides support for cargo handling and the invoicing of associated services, thus helping to boost revenues.

At air cargo europe, topsystem will also be informing visitors about the possibility of combining ECHOS with the product portfolio of the Lydia® Voice Suite. The software for voice-controlled processes is already one of the leading technologies in the logistics industry. It also offers numerous applications in the aviation industry, for example for warehouse management or customs clearance.
